Snow and rock was the idea of skiing and mountain climbing enthusiast Mike Browne. The first snow and rock was built in London in 1982 in Kensington. Snow and rock was run by a bunch of passionate climbers and skiers. Soon a bunch of the staff where known for giving the best product knowledge. It soon became the number one choice for skiers and climbers. Mike Browne retired in 2004 it was then bought by keen skier and entrepreneur Andrew Brownsword. It is now the leading specialists for winter sports in the UK.

Snow and rock sell goods for sports like skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking. They also sell goods aimed at mountain climbers, campers, runners and swimmers.

They sell skis, snowboards, ski trousers, ski jackets and snowboard equivalents, helmets, ski poles, goggles, bindings for skis and snowboards, rope, belay devices, and harnesses. There is much more on sale on all of the alpine sports but I just gave a short list to give the general idea.
